Experience
IB English HL (7), IGCSE English A: Language (A*), IGCSE English A: Literature (A), IGCSE Triple Award Science (A*A*A*), IGCSE Mathematics (A*). I have experience as a teaching assistant at two international schools in Hong Kong and proofreading and editing written works ranging from short stories to essays. I was rewarded an A* for IGCSE Mathematics by Edexcel, achieving 100% on Paper 1 and 99% on Paper 2 and have proceeded to take the Further Pure Mathematics examination that year. I have been offered a place at the University of Cambridge this academic year but rejected the offer to stay and study in Hong Kong due to the global pandemic. However, I plan to undertake a PhD in English at the University of Cambridge for the next academic year. The reason I want to become a tutor is because I enjoy exchanging ideas, themes, and concepts of the world and relating these issues both to texts and real world situations. My goal is to teach English literature at the university level.

Hobbies
Personally, I enjoy writing fiction, particularly about mental health and society. I am creative as I enjoy and participate in several forms of the arts, including theatre set design and building, making stop-motion videos, painting and drawing, playing the guitar, baking and making decorative icing, and all sorts of handcrafts. I am always interested and eager to learn new creative hobbies. I also enjoy wordplay and literary jokes, and appreciate witty humour.
