I currently work as a freelance English instructor based in Hong Kong, in which capacity I design and implement personalized programs targeting business English, conversational English, idiomatic use, and grammar development according to student needs. I have hosted 1-on-1 and group classes, and my students average a "4" on the HKDSE. Previously, I served as an instructor at a formal language centre in Hong Kong (2014-2015) and was the Head Instructor at a South Korean Learning Institute (2011-2013). Between them, I've taught English to students between the ages of 5 and 50 of all ability levels, created supplementary lesson materials to promote student engagement, fostered a positive learning environment, taught test-taking skills such as reading comprehension and essay writing, and more.
Experience
I earned a BA in International Studies with minors in Economics and Anthropology from the University of Toronto with honors in 2010. I also earned CELTA Certification in September of 2013 and TESOL/TESL/TEFL certification from Oxford Seminars in January 2011.
